Visiting the Frick Art Research Library

This guide provides information about the Frick Art Research Library and offers helpful tips for planning and making the most of your visit.

Assistance

Ask the librarians at the reference desk in the reading room if research assistance is needed.

If you are interested in speaking with a librarian with a subject specialty in art and art history, schedule a consultation in person or through Zoom. Email library@frick.org to schedule an appointment or inquire at the reference desk.

Self-Service Pick-Up

Requests are picked up by researchers in the reading room support area to the right of the reference desk.

Ask a librarian at the reference desk if you need assistance finding your requests.

Returns

Items can be returned after consultation on the bookshelves located to the right or left of the central exit door.

Technology

Complimentary wireless access (Wi-Fi) is available in the reading room.

Public computer terminals and laptops that can be checked out by researchers are available on a first come, first-serve basis.

A microform reader and self-service scanner are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
